Lisa Poole

Owner, Dance Instructor

Lisa Poole has been dancing since the age of three, trained locally throughout the Ohio Valley, at Kent State University and continues education through seminars and workshops. As a performer she held many titles to her name in dance and in pageant systems. Lisa opened her own studio “Lisa’s School of Dance” in 1987 instructed hundreds of students until she closed in 2003 due to her time full time commitment to her Marketing Director position at Fort Steuben Mall.  She continued teaching on a part time basis at another local studio until she re-opened Lisa’s Dance Elite in 2009.

Throughout her career Lisa has been committed to the community by having students participate in festivals, parades, and local charity events. Her dancers have performed on the Myrtle Beach Pavilion, in Abby’s National Hair Show, on the Imperial Majesty Cruise Ships to the Bahamas and at Walt Disney Land to name a few. Her studio won numerous Regional and National competitions. Lisa has also been a choreographer for High School Dance Teams, plays, productions and fashion shows throughout the area. LDE students have danced in Disney, Cedar Point, The All Ohio Dance Festival, Stars at Sea Cruise Lines just to name a few.

Lisa was competitor in the Miss Ohio system and was the local director and producer of the Miss Ohio Valley Scholarship Pageant for 14 years. This provided over $200,000 in scholarships and prizes to area young woman. In 2007 Lisa along with her daughter Brittney and their selected dance team were featured choreographers and performers for the state televised Miss Ohio, Miss America Pageant.

In 2009 Lisa re-opened her own studio as “Lisa’s Dance Elite” in Wintersville on a part time basis. Her daughter Brittney joined forces at the studio bringing a fresh new style in 2012. Lisa believes that dance helps all ages grow physically, emotionally, socially as well as builds self esteem, confidence and poise. Students learn teamwork, creativity, and develop their own sense of expression.

Lisa was the manager of the Carnation City Mall in Alliance for 7yrs but in 2015 decided to go back to full time teaching. Besides her daughter Brittney she has a son Jordon and  6 grandchildren, Dalton, Emelyn, Brynlin, Rilyn, Maverick, and JJ.
